About the Boat
The Capt. Ron is a
brand new custom built 29' Sportfisherman with a complete walk around
feature. It is powered by a 315 HP Diesel engine with a true
cruising speed of 25 knots. The boat is equipped to the max with the
latest state of the art electronics and safety equipment. It has a fully
equipped head and a heated cabin with two bunks. It has over 40 square
feet of cockpit space.
Although its spacious cockpit would allow
up to 6 passengers, for you comfort and enjoyment only 1-4 passengers
will be accommodated. The boat is fully licensed and insured.
The boat is owned and operated by USCG licensed Capt. Ron Onorato. He has
been fishing the waters off Montauk since 1973 as a commercial rod &
reel fisherman.
During that time, he pioneered the art of small boat Giant Bluefin Tuna
fishing from his 22' Boston Whaler. In addition, he has landed two
Striped Bass over 60 lbs. He brings all this experience to make your
trip pleasant, enjoyable and productive.
During the 2004 season, five (5) bass over 50 lbs. were boated on Capt.
Ron.
